Emmanuel Rivière
Emmanuel started his MSc in molecular and cellular biomedical science in 2015 as part of the faculty FBD at University of Antwerp. Two years later he started his PhD at the faculty of medicine and health sciences and joined the Center for Whole Genome Sequencing of Mycobacterium tuberculosis. Emmanuel has an interest in analyzing next gen sequencing data and bioinformatics in general. He applies his skills in biomedical science and bioinformatics to improve knowledge regarding MTB transmission dynamics and emergence of drug resistant TB.
Emmanuel is currently working on his PhD dissertation, titled: “Towards an improved understanding of rare mutations in Mycobacterium tuberculosis candidate resistance genes”.
