Eskedar Mekonnen
Eskedar has a background in Public Health and completed her master’s degree in Epidemiology from the University of Antwerp. Currently, Eskedar works as a research assistant, affiliated with the Global Health Institute at the University of Antwerp. In this role, she is primarily responsible for conducting meticulous analysis of data for the Sequencing Mycobacteria and Algorithm-Determined Resistant Tuberculosis Treatment (SMARTT) trial with the TORCH team. This groundbreaking study aims to explore the effectiveness of Whole Genome Sequencing (WGS)-guided individualised treatment for drug-resistant Tuberculosis (TB).
